Dear Readers, Writers, and Friends,
After a lot of reflection, I’ve decided to officially bring Voice from the Void to a close.
This journal was a passion project—a place for the surreal, the unsettling, and the unspoken. I started it hoping to shine a light on work that didn’t quite fit anywhere else. And for a little while, it did just that. We published some pieces I’ll always be proud of, connected with people across time zones and timelines, and carved out a small space in the literary dark.
But running a journal takes time, money, and mental space, and lately I’ve had to accept that I can’t keep it going the way it deserves. Rather than letting it continue to decay, I’d rather give it a proper ending.
What Happens Next:
- The site will remain up for a short while, then transition to a static page with links to an archive.
- If you’d like to revisit the published work, you’ll be able to do so through the Wayback Machine.
- I may compile a small digital anthology if there’s interest.
Thank you—for reading, for submitting, for sharing the work. Thank you for stepping into the void with me.
With gratitude,
— C. M. Costa
